We specialise in high quality fabric and wallpaper, drawn by hand in our New Forest studio, with the surrounding landscape being an endless source of inspiration for our designs and colour palettes. In addition to our signature fabrics and wallpapers, we offer a curated range of home accessories, including cushions, candles and lampshades, all designed to complement our collections and elevate any interiors.

OUR STORY
Lydia Kretowicz is the founder of Henka Home, a brand born from her passion for design and textiles. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Textiles from The Arts University Bournemouth, earning a First Class degree.
Following her graduation, Lydia worked as part of the design team for an interior fabric and wallpaper company, giving her valuable industry experience. She then ventured into freelance textile design, which allowed her the time to create and nurture her own vision of creating Henka Home.
Lydia strives to integrate sustainable practices into as many aspects of her design process as possible. This includes focusing less on trends, using high quality materials that are made to last, working with UK based suppliers, and using natural products and materials where possible.
SUSTAINABILITY
Fabric
Our fabric printers are based in the UK and use a water-based formulation of non-toxic pigment inks that produce very minimal wastage. These inks also require less post print processes such as steaming or washing as they adhere so well to the fabric, making the process less energy consuming. We only print on 100% natural fabrics, and are able to offer short print runs meaning we only print what is required, minimising fabric waste.
Wallpaper
Our wallpaper printer and supplier is based in the UK, and uses eco friendly practices where possible. They are also members of the HP Planet Partners, the number one printer supplies recycling program in the industry. The wallpapers are printed digitally using water based, non-toxic eco-friendly inks, and all offcuts, documents and damaged wallpaper are recycled. Similarly to our fabric, we are able to print to order, meaning we don't print anything more than we need.
Home Accessories
With our home accessories, we strive to use UK based suppliers and makers to support local businesses and reduce our carbon footprint. Our candles are hand poured locally using plant based waxes in ceramic pots which can be repurposed once the candle is finished. We use leftover wallpaper to make candle clip lampshades to try and minimise waste, all made by hand in our New Forest studio, and our cushions are also skilfully made by hand by local seamstresses.
Packaging
We aim to use as little plastic as possible within our packaging, choosing recyclable cardboard boxes and brown packing paper. We also use mailing bags made from sugar cane, which are carbon neutral and fully recyclable. The only plastic packaging we may use are large grey mailing bags used for the lumbar cushions. We encourage you to reuse these wherever possible.
